No Fetal Pole At 8 Weeks

We had our 6 week ultrasound today and they couldn't find a fetal pole, sac was there measuring right on but no fetal pole. I've also been having dark brown spotting when I wipe on and off for the past 2 weeks. OB Fetal Development.
